Lahore Grammar School’s Ghalib Market branch becomes ‘Green School’ under the Green School Programme of World Wide Fund for Nature-Pakistan (WWF-Pakistan)

LAHORE: Lahore Grammar School’s (LGS) Ghalib Market branch signed an agreement to become a certified “Green School” under the Green School Programme of World Wide Fund for Nature-Pakistan (WWF-Pakistan) on Tuesday.
WWF-Pakistan has been conducting several environmental education programmes at the LGS’ campus over the past couple of years. These include the well structured Eco-Internship Programme for older children and Spellathon for younger children. 
The MoU signing is a step forward towards a continued effort for empowering youth about concepts of environment protection and nature conservation.
The agreement was signed by Sania Khan, manager Corporate Relations, WWF-Pakistan and Gulrukh Rahman, principal LGS. A shield was also presented to Nighat Ali, director of the LGS campus as token of appreciation.
