Noted writer and poet Anwar Masood enthralls audience at the University of Health Sciences (UHS)

Large number of students, faculty members, principals and deans of medical colleges attended the literary sitting at the Shams Auditorium, where Anwar Masood, a retired professor of Farsi, shared his personal feelings on different socio-political issues and was praised by others for his literary accomplishments.
The poet recited his works in both Urdu and Punjabi, while striking issues such as politics, medicine, institution of marriage, and human relationships and interaction. The hilarious verses of poems including Banain, and Nuskha captivated the audience.

Amjad Islam Amjad also recited his poetry giving a memorable colour to the event.  He presented his legendary poems, Self-made logon ka almia, Zara si baat and Mohabbat to the amusement of the audience. Speaking on the occasion, UHS Vice Chancellor Maj Gen (retd) Prof Muhammad Aslam said the event provided a recreation and amicable diversification to the students to healthy co-curricular activities.–Staff Reporter
He thanked famous poets for accepting the varsity’s invitation. The Vice Chancellor of Government College University Lahore Prof Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman attended the literary sittings as special guest.
