PESHAWAR: A division bench of the Peshawar High Court adjourned the hearing into the writ petition filed against the commercial activities in University Town.
A resident of the University Town Dr Fazal Muqim Khilji had filed a writ petition in the PHC against the increasing number of restaurants and other commercial centres in the locality. He had asked the court to ban the commercial activities in the residential area. The bench comprising Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Ikramullah adjourned the case till the next hearing.
The bench also adjourned till March 13 the hearing into the case pertaining to the illegal stands and parking lots in the city. Meanwhile, a division bench of the PHC comprising Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel and Justice Malik Manzoor sought reply from the chief executive of the Hayatabad Medical Complex in a writ petition filed against the appointment to the posts of clinical technicians.
