THE Punjab Professor and Lecturers Association (PPLA) has begun its protest campaign to pressurise the Punjab government to respond to their longstanding demands of regularisation of lecturers on contract, filling of vacant posts, preparation of seniority list and abolishing the contract appointment policy.
The PPLA’s Lahore division wing had organised a protest camp outside the Government MAO College on Thursday. On the second leg of the protest, the PPLA has plans to shut down all the colleges across Punjab, organise a protest rally from Nasser Bagh and stage a sit-in in front of the Punjab Civil Secretariat on March 27 (Thursday).
