Karachi Twenty-four of the 30 companies included in a survey by the British Council indicated that English was vital for company growth and salaried professionals needed good English skills to fully exploit job opportunities.
The difference in income level of those who can speak English and those who cannot is between 10 and 15 percent.
A research paper titled ‘English Language in Pakistan Today: Class, the Workplace and the Shift in Language Use’ was launched at an event hosted by the British Council on Monday.
