ISLAMABAD (Online): Warning dismissals of SDOs and above officials, in areas defaulting over recoveries, state minister for Water and Power, Abid Sher Ali has resolved crackdown against electricity defaulters and pilferages. Talking to journalists outside parliament on Tuesday, he said that there had been reports of WAPDA officials being involved in electricity pilferage. “If Pakistan was to end its energy crisis, it would have to overcome the electricity pilferage, through illegal connections” he stressed. He also expressed strong resolve of government to end the malady of ad-hoc system.
