A COUPLE was sentenced to death in Manzkai village of Balochistan. Their death sentence was given by the village cleric.
It is not uncommon for clerics to give fatwas because they consider themselves authority and do not bother to know what our law says about these verdicts.
Almost in all rural areas these types of verdicts are issued by clerics or feudals.
The government should take strong notice of these verdicts because these are against our constitution. The suspects should be brought before the court for violating the constitution.
