ABBOTTABAD: Governor Shaukatullah has described promotion of education as indispensable requirement for ensuring socio-economic uplift.
He said despite the fact that providing quality education to all is a challenge of bigger extent, the government was trying its level best to make the opportunities of learning available to the youngsters.
The governor expressed these views while speaking as chief guest at the groundbreaking ceremony of the new campus of the University of Haripur on Friday. Vice -Chancellor Dr Nasir Ali Khan also spoke on the occasion and highlighted activities, achievements and future plans of his institution.The chief minister, Advisor on Higher Education Mushtaq Ahmed Ghani, Special Secretary Higher Education Abdul Ghafoor Baig, officers of the district administration, local dignitaries, the faculty members and a large number of students also attended the function.
