KARACHI: An eight-year-old girl died while four others sustained injuries when the roof of a private school collapsed in Ibrahim Hyderi on Friday morning, said police and hospital officials.
They added that the roof of Eifa private school fell upon children in Rehri Goth, causing injuries to the eight-year-old Misbah Yusuf and four other girls.
Misbah was brought to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival, said Dr Seemin Jamali, head of the emergency section. She said no injured girl was brought to the hospital for treatment.
Ibrahim Hyderi SHO Inayatullah Marvat believed that the other girls had sustained minor injuries.
