Eminent educationist to literature, education and sciences receive Civil Awards on 23rd March

ISLAMABAD (APP): Eminent educationist from the fields of literature, education and sciences would receive Civil Awards in the investiture ceremony to be held on March 23, Pakistan Day. 

The ceremony would be held to confer civil Awards on Pakistani citizens various fields of activities for recognition of their meritorious contribution in various fields of life or other significant public endeavors. For contributions in the field of literature, Hilal-i-Imtiaz has been approved for Ataul Haq Qasmi and Zafar Iqbal; Sitara-i-Imtiaz for late Shehzad Ahmad and Dr Tariq Rahman; President’s Pride of Performance Award for Prof Dr Tabbasum Kashmiri, Agha Saleem, Prof Wali Muhammad Khan Siyal Kakar, Younus Javaid and Ali Muhammadi Khorasani. Tamgha-i-Imtiaz has been approved for Prof Qalander ShahLakyari, Prof Dr Nazeer Tabassum, Ghaus Buksh Sabir and Afzal Murad. In the field of higher education, Sitara-i-Imtiaz has been approved for Prof Dr Mohammad Nizamuddin Vice Chancellor University of Gujrat, President’s Award for Pride of Performance has been approved for Hasan Shahnawaz Zaidiin Art and Design.
Tamgha-i-Imtiaz has been approved for Dr Sharifullah Khan, Computer Science; Dr Akhtar Naeem Khan, Teaching and Research; Norma Fernandes, Education and Prof Dr Iqbal Ahmad, Education. Among those to be decorated with civilian awards in the fields of science education and literature include for science, conferment of Sitara-i-Imtiaz has been approved for Dr Syed Khurshid Hasnain in the category of Natural Sciences (Physics).
