LAHORE: Lahore School of Economics won the ‘Crack the Case’ competition held in connection with Punjab Youth Festival (PYF) at Gymnasium Hall, Punjab Stadium on Saturday. Punjab Minister of Sports and Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan was the chief guest on this occasion.
The purpose of the programme was to find the suitable suggestions for the solution of the national issues. As many as 11 teams under the leadership of Anoosh Khalid, Rubab Asmat Zuhra, Usman Saeed, Abuzar Ameen, M Suleman, Ali Naveed, Mudassar Ahmed, Sayed Nasir, Ziaullah Khan, Sidra Tabassum and Syed Huzifa Bokhari, featured in the 4-hour programme. The above-mentioned teams presented several suggestions during the long debate for the solution of dilemma faced by PIA since long.
Rubab Asmat Zuhra of Lahore School of Economics was adjudged winner for presenting most suitable solution of the problem while Hamza Shafiq of Hailey College and Punjab University’s Anoosh Khalid got the next two positions.
While addressing the participants, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan said that Punjab govt was providing various opportunities to skilled youth of the country to demonstrate their talent during the Punjab Youth Festival. “Punjab Youth Festival is one of the best campaigns which were launched for the growth and grooming of the youth by the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif. Our youth has proved its mettle in every field of life,” he added.
Director General Sports Boart Punjab, Usman Unwar was the chief guest of the competition which held at SBP sports gymnasium. Assistant Director, Zahoor Ahmad and Aun Zaidi acted as judges of the competition. 120 students participated in the final round after been selected in Extreme Coding initial round and were divided into 40 teams. Students gave the suggestions for the solutions of the problems faced in the C ++ (C plus plus), Oracle, Jawa and other software problems faced through E-marketing and also gave the solutions for the Software Developing. After the final round Fast University was declared the winners while University of Engineering and Technology was runners up.
DG SBP, Usman Anwar while addressing the gathering said that our youth has proved their worth in the each department of the life and nation is proud of it and has shown that they could compete with ony one in the world.
He said that after the today’s competition he has come to the conclusion that Punjab Youth Festival has provided new talent at the IT grass route level besides other departments.”Students have given the exposure of their skills in the IT sector competition held at Expo Centre which is being appreciated throughout the world.
