Malakand Div position holders get prizes positive changes in education system province with quality education

TIMERGARA: Provincial Minister for Education Muhammad Atif on Wednesday said the PTI led coalition government was determined to bring positive changes in education system in order to equip youth of the province with quality education. 
He was addressing a Prize Distribution Function as a chief guest, organized by the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Malakand Chakdara to award prizes to top position holder students during the annual SSC and HSC examinations 2013.
MPA Muzafar Syed, MPA Shakil Khan, Chairman Swat Board Hanifullah, Chairman Malakand Chakdara Board Rafiq Ahmad, DEO Dir Lower Hafiz Muhammad Ibrahim besides parents, teachers and notables of the area were also present on the occasion.
Atif Khan distributed gold, silver and bronze medals and cash prizes among the top three position holder students of metric and intermediate 2013 examination.
Similarly a total of 86 students were also provided with cash prizes under the \’Stoori da Pakhtunkhwa\’ programme. The top position holders of the Swat Board were also provided with prizes.
The minister said the tradition of favoritism in teachers\’ recruitment had been ended in the province and the teachers would now be recruited only on merit.
He said all the educational boards were equally facilitated by the government.

He also said the PTI led government in the province was committed to provide poor students with equal opportunities to prepare them for high competition.
The JI leader and MPA Muzafar Syed while addressing the function said that the region had great potential and the students hailing from Malakand Division could compete well with others.
The speakers asked students and youth to concentrate on their studies and avoid indulging in unhealthy activities.
Wapda employees\’ protest against privatization: The Hydro Union of Wapda on Wednesday held a protest rally against the government plan to privatize the company. Dozens of workers took out a protest demonstration from Wapda House at Timergara.
The demonstrators marched on the road and gathered in front of the press club.
They were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the Pesco\’s privatization.
The Union Divisional Chairman Yousaf Khan, Vice Chairman Hazrat Faqir, Khan Shehzada and others spoke on the occasion.
They demanded of the government to stop privatization of the company, otherwise; they warned to launch countrywide protest against the federal government.
