Minister criticizes increase in electricity prices Provincial Minister for Local Government and Rural Development,

PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Inayatullah Khan has strongly condemned the increase in power prices and saying it will enhance inflation across the country.
He was speaking to the delegations of local people at Peshawar on Sunday said the increase in electricity prices would greatly affect the lives of public and a new period of price hike would start from today. About the local bodies’ elections, Inayatullah said it will stabilize democratic government and empower people at lower level.

People’s problems would be solved at their door step after holding of LG polls across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and they will be able to resolve their issues themselves by initiating developmental activities in the area, minister explained. Holding LG polls mean that the democratic system is going to be stabilized and consolidated, he added.
Regarding the cleanliness and plantation drive in metropolis of Peshawar, he said the plantation would not only make the environment clean and green but also benefit to people and government as well. The KP government is committed to hold local government elections on time and also to introduce bio metric system first time to ensure free and fair elections in the province, Inayat claimed.
People at village and tehsil level would get equal opportunities of development and progress after the LG elections, he hoped. F.P. Report
