NUST Environment Club and CDA holds walk to mark World Forestry Day

The day is being celebrated around the world for 30 years to remind communities of the importance of forests and the benefits which the human beings gain from them.


Pro Rector, Planning and Resource,  Engr. Muhammad Shahid was the chief guest. Officers, students and faculty members participated in the walk. The walk started from university main office and ended at NUST Business School ground, where students from NUST Environment Club displayed their posters and banners to create awareness in the masses about the need of forests that they are essential part of the life on Earth. They always fulfill the demands of the human beings by providing shadow, shelter, refreshment including clean air and water. In the modern world of growing global population increases the demands of forest products so the forests are at big risks of deforestation and degradation.
