Another significant event of the day was a seminar held at the KBA premises in which speaker strongly condemned the newly introduced laws under Pakistan Protection Ordinance, 2013. They said that the order was against the very spirit of the Constitution of 1973.
Barrister Salahuddin Ahmed, Naim Qureshi, Hanif Kashmiri, Faiza Khalil, Noor Naz Agha and Afshan Saleem demanded of the government to repeal the ordinance since it was against fundamental human rights and provided unbridled powers to the law-enforcement agencies to arrest anyone who so much as looked suspicious.
