All Primary Teachers\’ Association, All CT teachers Association, oppose deployment of non-local staff during exams

CHITRAL (APP): A meeting of All Primary Teachers\’ Association, All CT teachers Association, Senior Science teaches and Tanzeemi Uluma here on Thursday opposed the deployment of non-local staff during examinations.

The meeting held at Government Centennial model high school Chitral under the chair of Waqar Ahmad, president All SST Association demanded of the Chairman Board for Intermediate and Secondary Education to depute local teacher in examination halls instead of calling staff from far flung districts. They meeting further demanded that it was the right of local teachers to perfume duties at examination halls in Chitral. The association also threatened a strike call in case their demand was not considered.
When contacted, Muhammad Ismail In-charge BISE Camp office Chitral said there was a shortage of teaching staff at Chitral that was why non local teachers were called for exam duty at Chitral. He said the department would pay nominal travelling allowance to the teachers hired from the other districts. The decision, he said was taken to discourage the trend of cheating in exams He further said that there should be a full-fledged educational board at Chitral to facilitate local students and save them from travelling Peshawar Board for different purposes.
