RAWALPINDI (Online): Punjab government has given ownership rights to the residents of 6 Katchi Abadis in Rawalpindi. Documents related to ownership rights have been distributed among the inmates of the Katchi abadis including Wagon colony, Bhoosa Gowdan, Kashmir colony. Ram Bagh, Chaman Zar and Zia ul Haq colony. As many as 1700 families in these colonies have deposited cost of land and development charges in Rawal town. The preparations are underway to award ownership rights to the residents of 6 other Katchi abadis including Kaliam Abad, Dhok Hussoo, Sabza Zar, Tauhid Abad Chaklala, Kurri road Katchi abadi, Novelty Cinema Katchi Abadi.
