JI women wing to observe International Women’s Day as Hazrat Khadija (RA) Day today

PESHAWAR: The women wing of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) would observe the International Women’s Day as Hazrat Khadijatul Kubra (RA) Day and would organise a special function today.

Addressing a news conference, member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Rashida Zafar, Inayat Begum and others said that special lectures would be arranged for women to highlight the role and services of Hazrat Khadija (RA).

They said the life of Hazrat Khadija is the best example for mothers, sisters and daughters. They said the Muslim women should follow the teachings of their spiritual mothers. They said that only Muslim culture guarantees the rights and sanctity of women.

They said Islam and the Constitution of Pakistan guarantee every right to a woman, but unfortunately neither Islamic teachings are implemented, nor the Constitution of the country. They urged the government to take steps for upholding the rights and sanctity of women. They also demanded the government to focus special attention on promotion of women’s education.
