LAHORE (NNI): A high class home, many cars and expensive toys have raised many questions, during the probe, over two children’s brutal murders and claim, about the poverty, of the killer mother in Lahore.
All locality of Johar Town is under shock over brutal killings of two infants by their own mother while the initial police probe has revealed that the real cause of children’s murders is not the poverty.
The local residents have informed that this couple used to fight over domestic issues on regular basis; the husband was a drug addict while the killer mother used to take sleeping pills while the police are also not ready to buy this story of the poverty.
“This incident has not been caused by the poverty as we used to see the accused couple in neat and clean clothes”, told the neighbors.
A brother of the accused, Sunny, has made contradictory claims about the accused couple, saying they had good understanding but this incident was possibly caused by their mental problems.
Mother of the accused Bismah, killer mother, had also committed suicide some time ago, revealed brother of the accused Sunny.
Killer mother remanded into police custody in Lahore
The ruthless mother who killed her two minor children in Lahore was handed over to police on two-day physical remand along with her husband on Thursday.
Bisma, the mother, confessed to killing her two children — 2-year-old Manahil and 8-month-old baby boy Yousuf — by strangulating them “because of poverty.” Police said her husband was jobless and they used to have domestic quarrels nearly every day.
Bisma and her husband, Sunny, were produced before local magistrate. When he enquired of marks of wounds on Bisma’s face, she claimed that she was thrashed by her father and brother over killings of the kids.
Sunny said in his statement before the magistrate that he is jobless. The judge granted the couple’s two-day physical remand in police custody.
