SAHIWAL: A caravan of 16 motorcycles promoting peace and tolerance across the country reached Sahiwal on Friday afternoon.
The group of 36 activists is undertaking “peace hike” under the auspices of the Sindh Boy Scouts Association. They are travelling from Karachi to Islamabad.
The organisers claimed that the caravan, who began its journey on Feb 22, was promoting the message of interfaith harmony and tolerance in society.
It has been to Hyderabad, Larkana, Khairpur, Sadiqabad, Bahawalapur and Multan and reached Sahiwal on Friday.
Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf MPA Nabeela Khan and several boy scouts welcomed them and pegged tents at 134/9L for overnight stay of the guests.
The Punjab Lok Rahs organised a street play on their arrival. The motorcyclists will move to Lahore on Saturday morning.
