LAHORE PROVINCIAL Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan was the chief guest at a colourful recreational programme “Rang-e-Lahore” arranged by Parks & Horticulture Authority in connection with Jashan-e-Baharan at Alharma Hall, on Friday.
According to a handout issued here Friday, around 578 children of different schools of Lahore presented tableaus to the tunes of national songs and regional folk music. The girl students highlighted the Punjab culture wearing colourful dresses and turbines. The deaf and dumb children of different educational centres for special children as well as children suffering from Cereberal Palsy also presented songs. The girls of a private school presented a Kashmiri song, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
Rana Mashhood during his address lauded the efforts of the children and congratulated Director General PHA Mian Shakeel Ahmed on arranging Rang-e-Lahore.
He said Pakistan needed enthusiastic people who could cope with the challenges faced by the country. He said the journey of progress had started under the leadership of PML-N government and the day was not far off when Pakistan would emerge as a strong country.
