Lahore: A newly constructed Girls Middle School building has been handed over to Education Department by the Project Management Office (PMO) Punjab Barrages, Punjab Irrigation Department at Daudkhel in Miawnali District. In this connection a ceremony held today. Prior to the handing over ceremony, District Coordination Officer (DCO) Mianwali, Mian Aftab Ahmad inaugurated the newly constructed building and visited various sections of it. Later on, Irrigation Department, SDO, Kalabagh Sub Division Head Works, Amanat Ali Chaudhry and Deputy District Education Officer (Female), Ashma Hayat formally signed the documents regarding handing over of school building to Education Department. The school building spread over an area of 8.65 canals was constructed at Canal Colony Daudkhel, under the Social Development Action Plan (SDAP), which is a component of Jinnah Barrage Rehabilitation and Modernization Project. A part of this SDAP is meant for the uplift and welfare of inhabitants in the vicinity of Jinnah Barrage. EDO (Education) Mianwali, Mahmood Hussain Malik, District Information Officer, Tanvir Khalid, PMO, Punjab Barrages, Acting Director (Social and Environment), Nazim Hussain Shah, Chief Resident Engineer, Jinnah Barrage Project, Ghullam Raza Khan, Resident Engineer, Syed Qarar Shah, Assistant Education Officer (Female) Markaz Daudkhel, Shaista Sania and representatives of Consultant and Contractor also attended the ceremony.
